Giveaway: Online Worship Leadership Training Course

We are giving away a free scholarship, $199 value, to a training course by Dwayne Moore (a good friend of All About Worship).

Every Thursday evening at 8PM – 9:30PM CST
February 4 – April 29, 2010

About the Online Training Course

The Online Worship Leadership Training Course consists of 12 weekly sessions. Each session will be online using WebEx for video and phone conferencing. Participants will need a phone, access to the internet, and an optional webcam (camera). Once you register, you will be emailed the link and simple instructions you will need to access the web conferencing website. During each online session, you can sit at your computer with your phone to listen to and watch Dwayne teach. You can also interact with Dwayne and the other class members, asking questions and giving your input. Each session will include downloadable materials and resources. Upon completion, each registrant will receive a Graduation Certificate.

Who is this course designed for?
The Online Worship Leadership Training Course is designed for church leaders who help lead worship and praise, particularly staff worship leaders, music ministers, and pastors. However, worship team members and other church leaders can also benefit greatly from much of what will be taught, since many of the principles Dwayne will be addressing apply to church leaders in general.

Participants will be expected to:
1. Attend every session if at all possible.
2. Read 3 books (other than the Bible).
3. Do the weekly assignments. The weekly assignments will take about 2 hours per week to complete on average.

Each weekly session will include:
1. a check-up time regarding the weekly assignments
2. a teaching segment by Dwayne
3. a time of discussion and prayer

Session 2: Preparing for and Leading Weekly Rehearsals
Session 3: Dealing with Conflicts, Personality Issues, and Immorality in Your Group
Session 4: Developing Your Personal Leadership and People Skills Part 1
Session 5: Developing Your Personal Leadership and People Skills Part 2
Session 6: Understanding the Five Goals When Leading Worship
Session 7: Teaching Your Team Proper Stage Presence and Presentation
Session 8: Balancing Planning With Spontaneity
Session 8: Planning Effective Worship Sets that Flow
Session 9: Communicating Well With Your Pastor and Your Worship Teams
Session 10: Dealing With Negativity and Problems from Staff and Church Members
Session 11: Teaching Your Congregation about Worship and Worship Styles
Session 12: Understanding the Keys to a Long and Successful Ministry

God has been growing all of us, and is adding new members to our team. We are all in prayer for guidance in choosing a permanent Worship Leader. I would Love the opportunity to improve my leadership skills by attending this course. We have a small, growing church, so our funds are also very limited. I just found Dwayne’s website earlier this week after surfing for a worship retreat. I am at the place and time in my ministry where I feel I need a bit of a revival. When the worship leader hits a dry patch, the entire team is affected. Hopefully, these teachings will be a tool the Lord will use to work anew in me. I, like everyone else, am feeling the squeeze financially so I probably would not be able to enroll in training like this without assistance. Thank you for offering something like this at a time when it would be most appreciated.

I’m now part of a HUGE worship ministry and have learned much, however I’m open to heeding the call to move on where I’m needed. This would be an effective tool for me to learn with.
