What Does Worship Look Like in 10 Years? (Giveaway)

Recently, we had someone from our online community (Ben Seidl) call-in to our podcast comment line and leave a great question. We thought we’d share it with you and ask you to chime in:

What does worship look like in 10 years?…In your local church? In your country? Around the globe?

Lave a comment for your chance to win a free copy of Parachute Band’s latest CD – Love Without Measure. One person will be randomly chosen from the comments. You must be at least 18 years old and live in the US to win. Deadline is Friday, March 4th @ 10am CST.

I can only imagine what worhsip will look like in 10 years. At my church it just keeps getting better. So it will I hope it continues. I pray that there is an enormous worhsip breakthrough in this country in the next 10 years. We need it! So many people out there who just have no clue… And globally, well the same applies. The idea of anyone, no matter who they are and what they’ve done or haven’t done, suffering in hell and having one brief moment of respite in front of God, then being cast into a lake of fire for eternity is just gutwrenching. I hope that worship and the Holy Spirit overtakes this planet by storm in the next 10 years.

I hope that worship in our local churches in 10 years will be unifying instead of divisive.

Worship in 10 years. Hmmm…shouldn’t be that much different should it? There will be new Christians…there will be newer Christians…more mature Christians…less mature Christians…My hope would be that worship in 10 years would look more like Jesus. That by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit working in the hearts and wills of people through the wonderful ministering of the Word, Jesus would be finding those who are worshiping Him in spirit and in truth. Worshiping Jesus with the right intention and the actual doing of that which pleases Him. It would be easy to talk about the “hows”…songs…bands…venues…musicality….but I would hope in my heart I would be maturing beyond the search for an experience into the reality of a relationship.

From what I have seen,God has been equiping more and more churches.5 years earlier my church’s worship was a fella and his keyboard, now we have a full band,me being the newest, and with me I bring the electric guitar,we are learning and even getting a new worship leader, exciting times. For the future I see that, smaller churches getting equiped, bigger churches getting better.

Wow 10 yrs??? I have hopes that in 10 yrs worship at our local church will have become so contagious that all who experience it will catch it! That our Sundays will have become an exclamation point for a week long sentence lived for His glory! That my now 12 yr old son will be a young man of 22 creating offerings of praise and worship and that my oldest daughter will be 20 lifting her voice for the King. Hoping that the investments we are making in our youth have returns that will continue to see our local assembly lead to throne for years to come. Even so come Lord Jesus come : )
